Thanks for the reply Alex,

I had hopes that fix would work. I've seen that sort of thing on Unix Netscape, so thought it might work.

I deleted the .mozilla directory, reran mozilla, got the same error type (slight difference on Bus error #). Repeated the directory delete, restarted the WM, and tried again from a fresh xterm with the same results. I went ahead and then did a delete on everything "mozilla" directories, any files, etc. Installed, Rebuilt, Re- fetched, and still end up with the same error type.

$ mozilla
Error: No running window found.
/sw/bin/mozilla: line 62: 10668 Bus error $MOZ_PROGRAM $ {1+"$@"}

So, noone else is reporting an issue? Could be my total X-Windows package. I'm still hammering on the bits and pieces, like a missing man page, so it could be on my end. Still, other apps are at least running well, including running multiple window manager experiments using Xnest to look at things other than the workplace fvwm2 I'm accustomed to. I'm now using the Enlightenment WM, but had this problem before with the Apple native twm as well.

This Mozilla install is the latest one on Fink, and I'm running Apple's latest, Tiger version, as well as the latest XDarwin (downloaded directly a later version than is on Fink I believe), and installed using their install from a folder trick; the only way I could fully force the install as a su ... had other issues on failed path updates during standard installs.

So, am stump't.

Thanks,
Harley Jones

Good sirs,
I'm having difficulty running mozilla. I'm running under the newer
Tiger OS X, latest version. Mozilla ran fine on the previous
installation of X11, and now fails to initialize giving the following
warning:

$ mozilla
Error: No running window found.
/sw/bin/mozilla: line 62: 6595 Bus error $MOZ_PROGRAM $
{1+"$@"}

I've tried uninstalling/removing redownloading/recompiling, different
window mgrs, and probably a few other things, but get the above error
each time. The little "dillo" app runs in XDarwin and am using/
testing that for now on the X11 side of the Apple PC.

Thanks,
Harley Jones

I had similar issues at one point that were resolved by getting rid of
my  ~/.mozilla directory.
