the package is scons
a python program typically also requires other libraries to run. And if one has installed those libraries under fink python, then it won't run elsewhere.
Not only that but it may need to load extra config files or settings that will work best from the fink version over a vanilla person.

If the package just needs a python interpreter to run a script, I think we don't necessarily mandate using a fink-installed python.
