David, I ended up removing slib, then installing slib-gu16 with fink remove and fink install (fink commander wasn't happy, and still doesn't recognize that it's installed...) Anyway, I have now gotten gnucash-2.0.2 working!
Oops, I just quit and restarted fink commander, and the tables updated to show both slib and slib-gu16 as current. Thanks for the response!
