Thanks for the info.

According to a bit of grepping around on my system, the maxima version
in our 10.4/"stable" tree (and both trees on 10.3) still need
clisp-maxima to compile (at least according to their dependency
list--also according to some testing that we performed). cf.
http://pdb.finkproject.org/pdb/package.php/maxima .

We'd need to migrate those to a more recent version before we could
discontinue clisp-maxima.

I'll cc the listed maintainer.
