There is something specifically wrong with cctools, though:
It is a "virtual package representing the developer tools", according to
its description. If you run "fink info cctools", it tells you:
This package represents the C/C++/ObjC developer tools
provided by Apple. If it does not show as installed,
you can download it from Apple at:
.
http://connect.apple.com/
.
(free registration required)
Here "it" obviously means "cctools". Now if I go to
http://connect.apple.com, I don't find anything called "cctools"
available for download. The thing to get is called variously "Xcode" or
"Xcode Tools".
The only thing actually called "cctools" on the Apple download site can
be found from http://www.opensource.apple.com/darwinsource/. It is the
source package for a small subset of the developer tools, roughly
corresponding to what is called binutils alsewhere (as, ld, dyld, otool
etc).
IMHO the description of the cctools virtual package needs to be fixed,
in addition to introducing an "xcode" virtuial package.
