I upgraded my OS to 10.5 yesterday and as suggested on the website I installed 0.27.7. This went fine until the end:
..... Unpacking replacement fink ... Setting up fink (0.27.7-41) ... Checking system... powerpc-apple-darwin9.0.0 This is the first fink release which can be used with Mac OS X 10.5. We support bootstrapping with this version, and we expect that upgrading from 10.4 will go smoothly with this version. However, DIRECT UPGRADING FROM 10.4-transitional, 10.3 OR EARLIER IS NOT SUPPORTED. ln -s 10.4 /sw/fink/10.5 ln -s 10.5 /sw/fink/dists Scanning package description files Updating the list of locally available binary packages. I then do have a 10.5 directory in /sw/fink, but it only contains: exile:10.5 koen$ ls -la total 8 drwxr-xr-x 4 root admin 136 Oct 31 06:56 . drwxr-xr-x 15 koen admin 510 Oct 31 06:56 .. lrwxr-xr-x 1 root admin 4 Oct 31 06:56 10.4 -> 10.4 drwxr-xr-x 3 root admin 102 Oct 31 06:56 unstable exile:10.5 koen$ cd 10.4 did I miss a step? cheers, - Koen. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
