Xmms' eSound output plugin doesn't seem to work under Leopard. Esd is running, and the eSound output plugin is selected. But I just get that infamous dialog when I try to play a song: "Please check that: Your soundcard is configured properly. You have the correct output plugin selected. No other program is blocking the soundcard."
It worked fine under Tiger. When I upgraded to Leopard, it stopped working. I tried upgrading Fink to 0.27.7 (via selfupdate-rsync and update-all). I think this upped the version of the eSound packages, but it didn't solve the problem. I recompiled the Xmms packages, but that didn't help. Nor did starting esd manually. I can hear esd start, but Xmms behaves the same. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Xmms-broken-under-Leopard--tf4745816.html#a13570907 Sent from the fink-devel mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
