I've been maintaining coot, a macromolecular crystallographic display program, and decided to test its behavior with the pangocairo cvs branch of fink on 10.5.
On configuring, I get the following failure that is not present on the standard 10.5 branch: checking for pkg-config... /sw/bin/pkg-config checking for gtk+-2.0 >= 2.2.0... Package pangocairo was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `pangocairo.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable Package 'pangocairo', required by 'GDK', not found configure: error: Library requirements (gtk+-2.0 >= 2.2.0) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-con As far as I can tell, no PKG_CONFIG_PATH is set, and I can't find any pangocairo.pc in /sw/lib/pkgconfig or elsewhere. Is this a fink problem or something the author of coot should fix in the configure protocol? Thanks.
