Don't know which breakage you mean, or why it couldn't be solved by traditional means (changing pkg name or the like). But, as a 10.4 user, does this mean that we have to run a command like > fink list -it|cut -f2|xargs fink dumpinfo -pN -fdepends -fbuilddepends|tr > '\n' '\t'|sed -r -e 's,(\t)*%N:,\n,g'|fgrep pcre|cut -f1|sort -u|xargs fink > -y rebuild This is not too bad; but in that case, it might be nice to post such an instruction on fink-users and fink-beginners, if only to avoid later difficult-to-trace problems.. PS: too bad there is no way to put such a thing in a postinstscript; _ dpkg almost surely can't work recursively, with all its locks ..._ , there are many other circumstances where such a thing might be useful ... E.g., a "fink-postinstscript" _ i.e., executed directly by fink ? Best, Jean-Francois PS2: running the command now leads to : Failed: Internal error: node for db41-ssl-shlibs already exists but this is surely due only to kdevelop _ I'm used to problems of this type with it. Will re-run w/o kdevelop and then fix that one (only way I know: purge first db41-ssl-shlibs with --force-depends) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference Don't miss this year's exciting event.
