Hi again,

I'm still struggling with properly installing the full set of tools for the latest arb package (08.07.06prv) in 10.4 on a MacBook Pro. I've done a couple of fresh reinstallations where I remove /sw and start over and remove all arb-related files elsewhere. The problem is that when I open a database with the arb_edit4 through the arb_nt window, I get the following error...

Action: 'arb_edit4 -c default_configuration &'
No '.arb_prop/edit4_ali_16s.arb' found
No '.arb_prop/edit4_dna.arb' found
Using '.arb_prop/edit4.arb'
Error reading configuration: Unexpected end of data (at 'P')
Error reading configuration: Unexpected end of data (at 'P')

Also, there then seems to be a major memory leak as the process continues and sucks up all of the ram.

This happens no matter what database I use. Also, when I have the stable binary installed from 2005, it works just fine. Any suggestions or ideas on what's going on?

Thanks,
Pat
