I don't understand this horribly complicated migration acrobatics, 
anyway. Why wasn't the old freetype2 package simply updated to version 
2.3.7? Then freetype219 could have been left where it is and other 
packages could have moved leisurely over to the new default freetype2.

I hope someone has a clear idea how to get out of this mess.
