All,

I have been messing around with collectd on Linux lately, so here is a
Fink package for it:

http://boxster.ghz.cc/projects/fink/browser/trunk/misc/collectd.info

Synopsis:
collectd is a daemon which collects system performance statistics periodically
and provides mechanisms to store the values in a variety of ways, for example
 in RRD-files.

Besides that, v4 adds a network plugin that lets you centralize the
RRD files on one server. (RRD files are architecture-specific,
although you can dump them to a portable XML format.)

I am interested to know how people feel about the various plugins. I
will probably be enabling SNMP at some point, and I think it would
make sense to use variants for the various database monitoring plugins
so that we don't have to pull in the world to build it.

Here's the feature list from the collectd home page:

thanks,
