While trying to install:
  gtk+-1.2.10-51            <-- Note version number!

The following inconsistencies found:

Trying to resolve dependencies...

% sudo apt-get update

% sudo apt-get install gtk+=1.2.10-51

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against

So it tells me it can't install gtk+-1.2.5.10-51, but appears to have
happily installed 1.2.5.10-52 anyway?!?! That's kind of weird. Everything
seems to be OK now, but obviously something odd happened during the update.
