Also ioapi is marked as powerpc-only:  this was probably done at the
time when there wasn't a Fortran compiler for Leopard.

I'll make the minimum changes needed to get these to build: 
unfortunately one of the packages in cdat's build chain uses gcc43
rather than g77 like ioapi and pyfort-py do, so that means an extra
dependency installed.
