A fellow at PSU is developing some code for NASA and has run into an error in the latest version of g95. Evidently his code worked on older versions of g95. He has sent in a test case that illustrates the error.
Posted on www.g95.org in Discussions sloppy-char flag strangeness By Norminator - May 28 - 1 author - 0 replies I also notice it could be seen at http://groups.google.com/group/gg95/browse_thread/thread/d3ff8edbfdb7a219 Is there a way to get someone to check this out. By the way, his code fails on my system. I am running Mac OS X 10.5.7 Fink 0.28.6 Package manager version: 0.28.6 Distribution version: selfupdate-rsync (0.9.0), 10.5, i386 His code is using .f90 and modules. All of my code uses .f and does not appear to have any problems for a variety of programs. I am only subscribed to fink-beginners. I think this should be posted on the fink developers website. The last time I checked no one on fink is maintaining g95. Can you get this posted to the correct website? I am quite sure this may impact some other users of g95. A minor update from the fellow at PSU - His email follows. Hi Stan, There has been a lot of discussion on the issue we have found. It appears that the best way through this is to create a makefile that judiciously applys fsloppy-char only where needed. I am looking at this currently. -Norm Thanks ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ OpenSolaris 2009.06 is a cutting edge operating system for enterprises looking to deploy the next generation of Solaris that includes the latest innovations from Sun and the OpenSource community.
