Hi binutils are broken on 10.6. According to this ticket on macports (http://trac.macports.org/ticket/20197 ) it could be a minor issue. But do not (yet) have 10.6. So, can some test whether this little expansion of the configure part fixes the problem with one of my binutils packages, for example i386-linux- binutils.info ?
According to the ticket, I expect this error: cc1: warnings being treated as errors strings.c: In function 'strings_file': strings.c:407: warning: 'stat64' is deprecated (declared at /usr/ include/sys/stat.h:465) Adding " --disable-werror " to the ConfigureParams should do the trick, for example by appending it to the last line, which then becomes: --program-prefix=i386-linux- --disable-werror I would appreciate a lot, if someone could try this and report the outcome.
