Hello, I sent a request to the gdl package maintainer earlier this summer and the jed maintainer last week, but did not hear back, so I'l try here.
GDL's (the gnudatalanguage, a free IDL clone) latest release is 0.9rc3, while fink is still at 0.9pre6. There have been a significant number of bugfixes and updates between those versions. jed's (a lightweight editor) latest release is 0.99.18, while fink is still at 0.99.16, which is many years out of date, and the >0.99.17 branch contained many useful features. Could the fink packages for gdl and jed please be updated to the latest upstream versions?
