The latter won't work, as there is no such package version.

Actually, the dependency can't be that way.  We have the different
package names openldap-ssl, openldap23, and openldap24 for a reason,
that being that they install differently named versions of a library,
and packages that build against one can't be used with another other at all.

samba-ldap can only depend on one of openldap-ssl, openldap23, or
openldap24.  It could be updated in principle, if someone had the time
and inclination. (which I don't :-)
