Ease of use? Users already have to adapt to the using
a different compiler name in some cases and now they
have to invoke a new path as well? I would also point
out that MacPorts allows all of their gcc4x packages
to co-exist in /opt/local/bin but access them as via
mp-4.X- prefixed names.

ps How exactly are you suggesting that I modify the
PATH for users automatically? I have tried to avoid
adding things to PATH because if every package in
fink does that we will soon have PATHs that are
insanely long.
