Sounds good. The specific situation I was envisioning in section 3.8 was what happens with clamav. It contains a user-executable program that updates the virus definitions--this is also run by daemonic. In addition, it gives the user the option to update their definitions in PostInst. This is data which is being updated on a regular basis, and the package provides a user-executable means to update just that data, but not the package itself - -- Alexander Hansen, Ph.D. Fink User Liaison http://finkakh.wordpress.com/ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.11 (Darwin) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAk2wVKcACgkQB8UpO3rKjQ++1gCghrqsroI8+I0zjyiubsCmsRvu 7xQAnieWEhCHtRmQDtxyLVOdhw7JVm1z =dMpm -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Benefiting from Server Virtualization: Beyond Initial Workload Consolidation -- Increasing the use of server virtualization is a top priority.Virtualization can reduce costs, simplify management, and improve application availability and disaster protection.
