Jack's patch has been accepted and is now in the fink repository. Which just today switched from Sourceforge.net and CVS to github.com and git, and can be found here: <https://github.com/fink/fink/> Note: This does *NOT* affect dists, so all .info and .patch files are still handled by CVS. Packagers need not worry :). But anybody who wants to contribute patches to the fink package manager should base these off the code on github.com. Moreover, I would recommend looking into the powerful "fork" feature they offer, which makes it very convenient to create patches and submit them (via a so-called "pull request") including their full history. As a bonus, if you make commits with your name on your personal fork, and we accept them, then the meta data is preserved, including your authorship of the relevant code ;-).
