I've confirmed with both a clean install of Lion/Xcode 4.3/Command Line
Tools as well as an upgrade install of Xcode 4.3/Command Line Tools
over Xcode 4.2.1 that the installations fail to set the developer directory
path. In both cases, executing 'xcodebuild -version' produces the error
message...

Error: No developer directory found at /Developer. Run /usr/bin/xcode-select to
update the developer directory path.

until the user explicitly executes...

sudo xcode-select -switch /Applications/Xcode.app

We should probably put a note on the finkproject home page that
after installing Xcode 4.3, the Command Line Tools must be
manually installed (either from within Xcode 4.3 or from the
downloaded Command Line Tools installer on connect.apple.com)
and the developer directory path set with xcode-select as
above.

ps I filed this issue as radr:10881681, "Installing Xcode 4.3 command tools
doesn't set developer directory path".
