At this point I can only make wild guesses was to why it might fail to build the HTML documentation for you. It would be great if you could do the following to assist with tracking down the problem: First, restore the .info file to its original form (i.e. add back the line installing the HTML files which broke for you). Then, rebuild the package but with logging enabled. Don't worry, this won't remove your already installed package. I.e. do: fink -l rebuild autoconf2.6 Once this finishes (with an error), there will be a file like /tmp/fink-build-log_autoconf2.6_2.69-1_2012.11.28-18.29.26 Please gzip that file and email it to me and the list, and we'll have a look. Ah, and one quick test: What does which makeinfo makeinfo --version output?
