Great news! I found that if we bump the current bash packaging up to
the 4.3 release and add the current bash 4.3 patches 001 through 018, the
resulting bash eliminates the test suite hang in the llvm34 packaging on
10.9 when fink bash is installed. The bash-4.3-1 packaging uses the
original bash.patch from the 4.2-1 packaging as the parse.y fix is in the
bash 4.3 sources already. The resulting bash-4.3-1 passes all of its
InfoTest on 10.9 as well. Can we get the bash in 10.7 updated to this
release?

ps MacPorts adopted this release about 7 weeks back and uses it completely
without patches.
