you have pine.info

fink install pine would be default look for other pine-* pkgs and we add
an option in those files for ListOption: ssl, that would be in the
pine-ssl.info file and on demand it would list them, that was each variant
could have a different maintainer and the base is always the default...to
get the list maybe add

fink install -menu pine

or something if fink install pine is specified then pine.info is use and
no menu is displayed.   Though if you would like to see all the different
variants then use the -menu switch?

I don't think adding an option in the BASEPATH/etc/fink.conf is a good
idea cause you might not want to default to the -ssl pkg on all pkgs.  The
menu is needed, and the ability for multiple maintainers is needed as well.

Though I think the .info file should go to a proplist format, which has
nothing to do with the variants.  Just my two cents of course :)
