These updates fix two major problems:

1) upgrade path from xfree86-rootless-4.1.x is now preserved. This was
achieved by moving the libgl stuff from the xfree86-base package back to
the xfree86-rootless package. The xfree86-server-4.2.0 package has now
been removed. xfree86-server-4.1.x users should install the 4.2 rootless
package.

2) motif/lesstif apps now will launch. Problems with motif/lesstif apps
were caused by the previous versions of the X11 libs in xfree86-base being
compiled with two-level namespaces. The -flat_namespace linker flag was
added to fix this (thanks to Martin Costabel).

Unfortunately, these changes will require those of you who have installed
either of the previous two versions of the 4.2.0 package to forcibly
remove one of them (using dpkg --force-depends --remove). As always,
consider these to be beta - there may (and quite probably will) be
problems. Thanks to everybody who has risked installing the previous
versions - it's the only way we can get the bugs ironed out.

I do think that with these latest changes the 4.2 packages are just about
there.
