I've run into this problem with my fink installations on 2 different
machines, a beige G3/233 and a G4/350 (AGP), both running 10.1.2 with the
Dec. dev tools installed. Both fink installations are at this version:
        Package manager version: 0.9.4
        Distribution version: 0.3.1
and have been successfully updated before using the command 'fink
selfupdate'.

Ever since fink 0.3.2a came out, I've been trying to run 'fink selfupdate'
again, but every time I've tried, the update gets as far as:
tar -xzvf -
and then it just stalls. Once I even left it overnight, in case it was
just being absurdly slow for some reason, but no progress was made.

When I interrupt it with ^C, this is the output:
^C### tar failed, exit code 2
        Failed: unpacking packages-0.3.2a.tar.gz failed

And that's as far as I've been able to get.

Any thoughts on how I can get around this and successfully update my fink
installations?
