Hi, I was having trouble building xfce-3.8.3-1 (the version currently in "stable"); I kept getting a linker error near the end.
Eventually, I tracked it down to the patch that comes with xfce-3.8.10 (in "unstable"), which patches configure to add the "-flat_namespace" flag to the linker step that was, in fact, failing. So I created a new patch file and added a PatchScript line to the info file, and that seems to have done it. Since this "bug" has already been fixed (albeit still in unstable for now), I guess this isn't big news, except to let everyone know that building the stable version of xfce doesn't work without some trickery. That said, is there somewhere I can send/post/submit what I did, on the off chance that it might be useful before xfce-3.8.10 moves from unstable to stable? Or am I the only one out here still trying to stick to stable at all?
