Even though AquaTerm's webpage at http://aquaterm.sourceforge.net/docs/index.html says I can save them to EPS, AcquTerm 0.2.1 only allows me to save them to PDF, so I guess I can only do it on octave. But the tricks I found on Octave's archives at http://www.octave.org/octave-lists/archive/octave-sources.2001/msg00106.html do not seem to work with my installation.
