anacron does in now way depend on findutils. Well, at least not 
2.3-3, though it would surprise me if earlier versions did (I can't 
exclude it of course, could be a bug).

So, it seems your local installation is messed up. I recommend a 
"fink selfupdate-cvs". If that doesn't help, it would be extremly 
helpful if you could paste in the exact command you enter, and the 
exact reply you get (including error message) to further narrow down 
your problem.
