In fact the problem started precisely when selfupdate brought me up to that version. As in the update started normally, automatically built and re-launched with 0.9.10, and then immediately failed. I'd still like to know how it got messed up in the first place -- I was just following the Perl 5.6.1 instructions mentioned on the [EMAIL PROTECTED] list a while back, and I was following them to the leter as near as I can tell.
