Well, it's not that it doesn't work really; rather there are a slew of
reasons why a download can fail (404 not found, permission error on the
server end, host not available, new url, network failure, proxy error,
etc). It seems like, for me, Curl gets stuck on such things a lot more
quickly than Wget does. If Curl failed, it could be a configuration
problem of some kind; if wget fails it's more likely to be that the
resource itself is inaccessible for some reason, and it would be easier to
look for it elsewhere. That's all...
