Dang, when I got the message I was thinking "how dumb could I possibly be?" yet this did not fix the problem as I had not changed my .xinitrc file for ages. I tried it with just one command in there
exec blackbox (this always worked previously) Which I then changed to Exec /sw/bin/blackbox (no go) Client keeps terminating with status 1. I no longer get the server thread never quit error, and yup I have changed the owner of the /tmp/.X11-unix/ to root:) Thankyou for the suggestion Torin >> New problem I'm having with Xdarwin.
