Hello,

<<ORIGINAL PROBLEM>>
I'm attempting to install bundle-gnome using "apt-get install bundle-gnome".
It looks like all of the dependent packages have been installed/updated but
it's failing on bundle-gnome itself with the following:

Failed to fetch
http://fink.sourceforge.net/bindist/dists/fink-0.4.0/main/binary-darwin-powe
rpc/gnome/bundle-gnome_1.4-3_darwin-powerpc.deb MD5Sum mismatch
E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try
with --fix-missing?

It looks like bindist is currently being update - and that if I'd waited a
little my problem my have gone away - but I didn't 8(

"apt-get update" didn't help and "apt-get -fm bundle-gnome" produced errors

<<CURRENT PROBLEM>>
Now I seem to be hosed - I can neither install or remove bonobo which both
bonobo-conf and gtkhtml seem to depend on

At this point I'd like to just start over and install bundle-gnome again -
but I can't seem to get there.

I'm now running "apt-get -f dist-upgrade" in an attempt to upgrade
everything - without "-f" produced errors and suggested using the -f flag.
I'm not sure if this will fix me or not - but I'm getting about 100MB of
upgraded pkgs (40MB+ from xfree4.2)

<<PLEA FOR GUIDANCE>>
Obviously, I don't really have a good grasp of what I'm doing. QUESTION:
What would have been the "correct" approach to a problem like this?

Thanks,

Warren
