Thanks to everyone who offered their help/advice with my problems related to
installing bundle-gnome. Most problems were my own - due to inexperience
with fink/apt-get - I've learned quite a bit from this "experience" - I
believe that's how one refers to series of errors that we hope will not be
repeated 8^)

For whatever it's worth:
When using gnome-session, it seems that all that is required is have
gnome-session
at the end of my .xinitrc
for a while I had both
sawfish &
gnome-session
this seemed to confuse gnome a bit - it would tell me that I was using a
non-gnome-compliant WM
sawfish/gnome seems to be working OK in fullscreen - it's pretty cool -
almost looks my linux box
