Yeah, I know. But the thing is, this isn't really a *nix limitation -
it's a "limitation" of script writers (no offense :).
I sometimes used spaces in file names when I first started using
*nix. Why? Because I wanted to. Me master, computer slave.

I don't actually thrust myself enough to try doing that - I'd rather
just go through the scripts that needs going through. I also have a
feeling this could be very bad... Say if I did this to a command that
can accept multiples files as arguments. Though I guess I could work
around that by checking all combinations of the "words" passed as
arguments (that is, if the combination exists in the file system).
BTW; Can anyone tell me why [whatever] insists on expanding the "/sw"
symlink? I use the same setup for /usr/local, and mysql installed
without a hitch (into /usr/local/mysql)...
