Trying to upgrade to the new 1.2.3-6 version of Gimp, it seems like the
compilation phase finished normally, but the .deb file won't install:

Is this a glitch with the new splitoff code, or something else? Would it
help to try reinstalling or rebuilding or removing the old version or...?
