I am trying to use recode, without much success. The same version (3.6)
is installed on a Solaris system I also have access to, and there
everything works fine, so I do not think that it is my usage of recode
that is wrong. each time I try to convert to any mac format (well, any
conversion as far as I know), recode complains about "invalid input in
step UTF-8..macintosh" or whatever codings ask for.
Has anybody used the fink port of recode with success?
I am running fink 0.9.11 on MacOS X 10.1.4.
