Are you using system-xfree86, or a version of xfree86-base lower than 4.2.0-5?
The packages were built against the latest xfree86-base in unstable, which
added a new library -- things won't build if you've got an older XFree86 from
fink, or if you're using someone else's XFree86 with the system-xfree86
placeholder.

If you *are* running the newest xfree86-base, well, then, let me know and
we'll see if we can figure out what's going on.  =)
