Muhahaha, now we can r00t you! Oldest trick in the book! (Just kidding :) > [TiBook:~] jsalort% fink [list|install|update|remove|describe|apropos] Is that really the command you issued? When you see that [option1|option2|option3] syntax in documentation, it's supposed to get you to pick one of the options, not literally paste that string in. :) As a test I tried duplicating that & just got a complaint about commands not found and misuse of the 'apropos' command. Fitting, really :) In any case, your problem is bigger than that... > No package name in /sw/fink/dists/stable/main/finkinfo/x11/autocutsel-0.2-2.info > No package name in /sw/fink/dists/stable/main/finkinfo/x11/bbkeys-0.8.2-1.info > No package name in /sw/fink/dists/stable/main/finkinfo/x11/icemc-0.1.1-beta-0.info > No package name in /sw/fink/dists/stable/main/finkinfo/x11/xforms-0.89-1.info That's just weird. It's as if your package descriptions are corrupted somehow. Can you do a cvs update to clean up your Fink catalog? % fink selfupdate-cvs I have a hunch that might resolve the problem, but it won't help explain it. I don't know how a catalog could get messed up that way... -- Chris Devers [EMAIL PROTECTED] Systems Administrator, Unix advertising systems, Boston.com _______________________________________________________________ Don't miss the 2002 Sprint PCS Application Developer's Conference August 25-28 in Las Vegas -- http://devcon.sprintpcs.com/adp/index.cfm _______________________________________________ Fink-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-users
