Hey:

I've been thinking of installing the postfix package out of unstable, but I
had a few questions.

First, has anyone tried it, and does it work?

Second, postfix's versioning scheme is a bit wacky, so I can't tell if the
version on fink is the latest stable version, or whether it's a test/beta
version. Looking on the web site, it appears that the versions with date
versions (like the one on fink) are beta, while the "n.n patchlevel n"
versions are the stable ones.

Third, an Xfree86-dependent program is listed as a dependency for postfix
(tcltk-dev). I don't have Xfree86 installed and I don't want to, and I'm
not sure why it's necessary for a pure CLI program like postfix. Any
thoughts? Is it safe to edit the .info file and get rid of that dependency?

Thanks.
