I've looked at the archives but so far found no references to this problem running "fink selfupdate":
----------------------------- % fink selfupdate-cvs sudo /sw/bin/fink selfupdate-cvs I will now run the cvs command to retrieve the latest package descriptions. The 'su' command will be used to run the cvs command as the user 'tph'. After that, the core packages will be updated right away; you should then update the other packages using commands like 'fink update-all'. su tph -c 'cvs -z3 update -d -P' ? stamp-rel-0.4.0 ? dists/stable/crypto/finkinfo/curl-ssl-7.9.2-2.info [Snip long list of patches and info files] cvs [server aborted]: -t/-f wrappers not supported by this version of CVS ### su failed, exit code 1 Failed: Updating using CVS failed. Check the error messages above. ----------------------------- The list of patches and info files does not include any warnings or messages of any kind; after looking through the archives of this list, I see some have reported "...modified but no longer in the repository" messages, or "...it is in the way", but I don't get anything like this. I'm running this from my user account, which is a Mac OS X administrator account. It it supposed to be doing "su tph" for this? Why not "sudo"? The CVS I'm using is the standard Mac OS X CVS at /usr/bin/cvs: % cvs -v Concurrent Versions System (CVS) 1.10 `Halibut' (client/server) <snip rest> Other version info: % fink --version Package manager version: 0.9.12 Distribution version: 0.4.0.cvs % uname -a Darwin localhost 5.4 Darwin Kernel Version 5.4: Wed Apr 10 09:27:47 PDT 2002; root:xnu/xnu-201.19.3.obj~1/RELEASE_PPC Power Macintosh powerpc ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek No, I will not fix your computer. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Fink-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-users
