Something is out of kilter for me, and I'd like to get back on track.
I use cvs but I'm wondering if I need to be using the April tools or
if I missed something.:

[imac:~] josh% fink --version
Package manager version: 0.9.12
Distribution version: 0.4.0.cvs

I was trying to run update-all after doing a selfupdate through
cvs. I seem to have a few packages that just wont update. I saw the
post suggesting
dpkg -r --force-depends gnome-libs
fink update-all

for a problem that seemed similar enough. I only have a few programs
that aren't updated as far as I can tell. I had been trying to see
what I could update manually and managed to get some things updated
after the first crashes.

fink list gives the following as needing updating.
(i) control-center 1.4.0.5-3 GNOME Control Center
(i) gnome-applets 1.4.0.5-3 Various applets for GNOME panel
(i) gnome-core 1.4.1-1 Common files for Gnome core apps.
(i) gnome-pim 1.4.0-2 Calendar and address book for GNOME.
(i) gnome-utils 1.4.1.2-3 GNOME utility programs
(i) gnucash 1.6.6-3 Personal finance tracking program.
(i) gtkhtml 1.0.2-2 HTML rendering/printing/editing
engine.
(i) guppi 0.40.2-3 a GNOME-based framework for graphing
and in...

My attempt to update ended with:
make[4]: *** [file-types-capplet] Error 1
make[3]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2
### make failed, exit code 2
Failed: compiling control-center-1.4.0.5-3 failed
