For what's it worth I have been using OS X (with fink) on my iMac and my G3 PowerBook, without OS9. I haven't missed it. The only thing I ever missed whas RealPlayer and thats been ported to OSX now.
I also have been using Mozilla and I trashed MSIE. I haven't run into any problems there either. But most of what I do I'm doing in terminal windows or X windows, so I'm about 75 (unix tradition) vs 25% Mac apps. YMMV On Fri, Jul 26, 2002 at 08:07:44AM -0700, Justin C.
