I posted this a while ago, and got no responses. I'm still unable to
update. I've searched the archives and found a number of mentions of
problems with selfupdate-cvs, but none like this:

-----------------------------
fink selfupdate-cvs
sudo /sw/bin/fink selfupdate-cvs
Password:

I will now run the cvs command to retrieve the latest package
descriptions.
The 'su' command will be used to run the cvs command as the user 'tph'.
After
that, the core packages will be updated right away; you should then
update
the other packages using commands like 'fink update-all'.

su tph -c 'cvs -z3 update -d -P'
cvs [update aborted]: -t/-f wrappers not supported by this version of CVS
### su failed, exit code 1
Failed: Updating using CVS failed. Check the error messages above.
-----------------------------

I've got the standard MacOS X 10.1.5 CVS (1.10) as well as a
Fink-installed copy of CVS (1.11).

I found suggestions to try these commands before selfupdate-cvs, and
tried them:

cd /sw/fink
sudo find . -name "CVS" -print -exec rm -rf {} \;

Now fink asks me for a CVS username, but still gets the same error as
above.

Any clues from anyone will be appreciated, I'm kind of lost on this at
the moment.
