The kind folks (sarcasm) at Ximian have updated their official release to 1.0.8 and deleted the 1.0.7 tarball. I faced the same problem a couple of versions ago, but wasn't able to find one anywhere on their site. The best thing I could come up with was to wait until the fink maintainer came up with a fink port of the new version (I didn't want to mess around with the info and patch files). �nfortunately it's never made it into stable, so there's no official binary of it.
I don't have either the tarball or a deb file on my system right now, but maybe some kind soul on the list can post one or the other of these for you.
