Hmmm.... removing fink's cvs did indeed fix it for fink, and I thank 
you, but it's still failing for the softwareupdate cli command. Which, 
of course, is not fink's problem, but they were BOTH working last week, 
so if anyone does know the solution, i would greatly appreciate a 
heads-up.
