While I am unable to reproduce this crash - at the corresponding place I get ./emacs -q -batch -f list-load-path-shadows Wrong type argument: stringp, nil make[1]: [emacs] Error 255 (ignored) and the compilation continues successfully - I see that this version of emacs still has an old bug: During compile time (!), and then again while installing the package, it creates some directories in /usr/local. I consider this as not only annoying, but illegal for a fink package I have /usr/local as a symlink to another place, and while testing the building of fink packages, I often remove this symlink. Now after building emacs21, I find myself with a /usr/local/share file hierarchy which I have to remove by hand before being able to put the symlink back. -- Martin ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: OSDN - Tired of that same old cell phone?
