I worked, thank you very much! I had to reinstall both libjpeg
and zlib ('fink reinstall libjpeg' and 'fink reinstall zlib',
respectively) after which 'fink install gimp' worked just fine.
To answer to your question, 'fink list libjpeg' produced the following
output before reinstalling the library:
[iMac-51]~>fink list libjpeg
Reading package info...
Information about 637 packages read in 6 seconds.
(i) libjpeg 6b-5 JPEG image format handling library
libjpeg-bin 6b-5 JPEG image format handling library
libjpeg-shlibs 6b-5 JPEG image format handling library
and this other one after doing so:
[iMac-53]~>fink list libjpeg
Reading package info...
Information about 637 packages read in 4 seconds.
i libjpeg 6b-5 JPEG image format handling library
i libjpeg-bin 6b-5 JPEG image format handling library
i libjpeg-shlibs 6b-5 JPEG image format handling library
gimp produces an error message when launched (Gdk-WARNING **: locale not
supported by C library), but it seems to work fine.
Thank you very much again!
Ciao,
Martino
