Good question. Where should cupsd.conf be?  When I installed from Apple, 
it was in /etc/cups, but I have deleted that in favor of installing just 
from Fink.

So, what is the solution being suggested by Martin?  That I install cups 
as is from www.cups.org?  If you have done this could you tell me of any 
peculiarities I should  be aware of?
